So what if it’s a Hallmark Holiday, Father’s Day is for all of us to remember, reflect and celebrate the Dad’s in our lives. Memories that come to me on this day range from motorcycle rides in the forests of Ormond Beach, to sun drenched fall afternoons at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee watching Bobby Bowden work his magic. It’s burgers in the backyard, Bryers Butter Pecan and Stavro’s Pizza. Opera blaring on Saturdays and raking leaves on Sunday.
Dad’s play so many roles in our lives, provider, protector, role model, best friend… and disciplinarian when we need it! Lucky are the kids whose dad was all that for them! I certainly am! I try to be all those roles for my family now, and fortunately I had the best role model ever.
